Today is my birthday so what would you do if you were me .

So today (17th of jan ) is my birthday. I have the day off .whilst my dh and sd are both in work. We are all going out for food in the evening.

The world is my oyster so to speak ...so if you had a day to yourself to do anything ..
What would you do ?

I would probably visit somewhere that I know my dh wouldn't be that bothered about. I'd quite like to go to Hampton Court so probably there.

It all depends what floats your boat though. You might want to go and get a bit of pampering or see a film that you wouldn't go with dh or sd.

Right now I'd probably spend a good few hours napping then I'd order a movie on sky,order a take away and spend the day lazing around on the sofa before I took myself of for a nice long soak in the bath with a glass or two of wine.

But if I I had the energy I'd go and look around a national trust place or a museum,I'd stop off at a nice coffee place(somewhere independent)for some coffee and cake and I'd read for a while before having a look around some shops and then I'd go and treat myself to a late lunch.

Where are you? Hampton Court is a nice idea but not much good if you live in Scotland!
How about a 'nice' cinema - Everyman for choice, but Curzon/Picturehouse okay - to see Little Women if you haven't seen it already? Glass of wine to take in and some posh, non-noisy nibbles?
If you're in London, maybe Zandra Rhodes exhibition at the Fashion Museum and light lunch at pub next door - can't remember the name -or the Pre-Raphaelite Sisters at the National Portrait Gallery?

Honestly? I would have the most relaxing day, nice food, music on and pamper yourself to high heaven before you go out to eat, you will feel a million dollars.

Mine is tomorrow ( the 18th ) and that’s what I intend to do. Am also staying away from alcohol as can’t cope with 3 day hangovers.

Happy birthday! Its my birthday too!

Gentle start to the day, relaxing bath. Followed by taking a good book to town and relaxing in a local coffee shop.

I can't drive so would be restricted where I could go on my own. I would probably want to stay in bed with a book but would feel that I ought to go out and do something so would end up in the city centre pottering round shops, especially book shops.

Happy birthday! I’d probably spend the morning lazing in bed/on the sofa reading and watching tv then go to the shops, enjoy a nice cake and time to myself. I never get time to myself though so granted what I’d do doesn’t sound all that exciting if you get to do that regularly

I am really tired and would go back to bed to sleep.

However if I wasnt, i would either text a friend and go for coffee somewhere I haven't tried before or go to the museum I keep telling myself I should visit or if I had some money treating myself to new clothes or a beauty treatment.

I'm a bit weird but I would take a trip around some of the local villages that I never go to, see what nice bakeries and shops were there, take some time to myself.

Stay in bed, watch TV, cuddle the cat.
