Brown discharge 10 wks pregnant

I have had 3 miscarriages. They all started with fresh blood, but I’m still freaking out! I had a scan at 8 weeks and all was fine, we saw the heart beating away. I also have 3 children and I have never experienced brown discharge. Has anyone else experienced this?

Were you straining to poo? That’s when I had some brown discharge (vaginal) when pregnant. It’s old blood rather than new so should be ok, I think. Well, that’s what I was told at the time.

No I wasn't. I have heard that being brown is a better sign than bright red due to it being old blood. I have my 12 weeks scan in 2 weeks so hopefully all will be well. Thank you

I think mine was around 9 or 10 weeks. I cried and Googled a lot. But it was all fine in the end. Fingers crossed for you.

I had a brown blood discharge with both of my successful pregnancies.

I had spotting and fresh red blood (just a little) with dd4 who is now 4 weeks old. Try not to worry. I hope all is well.

I had that they said it was old blood. Worth ringing your unit to put your mind at ease though.
