Anyone had a girl after 2 boys

SleeepyyHead · 15/01/2020 20:40

Just that really, I'm newly pregnant with my 3rd. We always wanted 3 and will be happy either way but also would be nice to mix it up with a girl after 2 boys.
Anyone had a girl after 2 boys? This would be our last either way.

Yes of course! Confused

I have for a start and probably millions of others have! Equally millions have three boys!

FthisS · 15/01/2020 20:42

Yes I did. I knew by about week 5, I felt completely different to when I was pregnant with my boys.

Dancetherain · 15/01/2020 20:45

Yes. In fact I had 2 girls after 2 boys!

Yes I did

I had a boy after 2 girls. I know many people who had a girl after 2 boys. I also know many people who had 3 boys, and who had 3 girls. All combinations equally as common.

Whynosnowyet · 15/01/2020 20:47

I had a dd. 6 ds's. 2 more dd's.
Then 2 ds's.
Then bought a TV!!

I had a girl after two boys too

CountFosco · 15/01/2020 20:53

I had a boy after 2 girls, SIL had a girl after 2 boys. There's really no difference, well except nappy changes. The youngest tries to keep up with their big siblings so e.g. DN loves being outside and sport and DS has an unhealthy obsession with Strictly along with them both enjoying things that fit the gender stereotypes. They are their own person and don't fit a personality binary.

Oh, if your third is a different sex be prepared for everyone saying 'Oh, you'll be stopping now you've got a girl' or 'Are you going to try for a girl again?' if you have another boy.

userabcname · 15/01/2020 20:54

Funnily enough this exact pattern runs through DH's entire family! Everyone with 3 kids has 2 boys and then a girl, everyone with 2 kids has 2 boys. We've just had our second DS so we are following the pattern too! Would be interesting to see if we'd also have a girl as our third but not sure we will go for 3.

Foxes157 · 15/01/2020 20:55

No because I had 2 girls then a boy

Very common as it's 50/50 either way each time.

FagAsh · 15/01/2020 20:57

I didn't try for a girl because I knew that my FIL had no sisters, he had 2 boys as did my BIL.

You need to look at paternal lines as male to female sperm ratios are determined genetically apparently...

CactusAndCacti · 15/01/2020 21:07

Yes I do, I also know quite a few families of three boys.

Dowser · 15/01/2020 21:09

My daughter.

Crunchymum · 15/01/2020 21:27

@Whynosnowyet

You have 11 children?

newmobile · 15/01/2020 21:29

No 3 boys in a row

HavelockVetinari · 15/01/2020 21:30

It's a (more or less) 50/50 chance with each pregnancy, and the chances are not affected by previous pregnancies.

NeedToKnow101 · 15/01/2020 21:31

Yes! My mum.

Whynosnowyet · 15/01/2020 21:32

Yep!!

MissEliza · 15/01/2020 21:32

I had a girl after two boys. There is no rhyme or reason to what sex you get. It's just luck. The wife of dh's friends who had two boys at the time of my third pregnancy told her dh she wouldn't try for a third until she saw what I had. When I had a girl, she decided to go for it. That's bonkers. (She had a girl btw)

Walnutwhipster · 15/01/2020 21:34

Yes. 23,15&13. We didn't have a third to try for a girl though. I got sick of people asking if we were hoping for one.

Clawdy · 15/01/2020 21:34

I had three boys, then a girl. The biggest difference I have noticed in our family ( and they are all grown up now) is how much more indulgent and doting DH has always been with our daughter. The boys used to mutter gloomily "She gets away with everything...." And I think they were right.

sunshineandshowers21 · 15/01/2020 21:40

i had two boys and then a girl. currently pregnant with my 4th which is another girl. it is just chance though. my nana had 6 boys then 3 girls. my uncle and his wife wanted a boy and kept trying and ended up with 6 girls.

ParkheadParadise · 15/01/2020 21:40

Sister 1 has 3 boys then a girl
Sister 2 had 5 boys
Sister 3 had 2 boys then a girl
Brother 4 had 3 boys
Brother 5 had 1 boy 1girl 1 boy 1 girl
I had 2 girls.

SleeepyyHead · 15/01/2020 21:41

Yes I'm definitely dreading people asking if we're expecting a girl, we got those questions after our first DS and when pregnant with our 2nd.
We would love either really, hoping for a healthy baby more than anything.

My ex has twin aunts. One had 7 boys before a girl and the other twin had 7 girls before a boy Confused
