What to do in Kentish Town/Camden?

I'm going to be in Kentish Town/Camden for a few days because I'm going to see a concert. I know nothing about the area and would appreciate any recommendations of things to do or restaurants and cafes. I don't want to travel far once I'm there so I don't want to do the usual tourist things in Central London while there.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

Camden market, zoo, canal walks. It’s actually a nice walk along the canal to Little Venice or to Kings X and from there to the Wellcome Foundation for example. Also dead easy bus route to the West End. Or up onto the Heath and Hampstead walks.

Thank you so much, Binterested. I appreciate it.

Camden market is great for a browse
Keats House in Keats Grove maybe a bit far away for you
Ice cream from Marine Ices if it's not too cold!

Thankyou also, MandarinFish. It's much appreciated.

You are near Primrose Hill so go for a walk up the hill and a wander on the high street - nice places to get coffee or a drink

I've lived close by all my life. Camden Market is big and quite touristy - but its quite a place. Easy walk from Camden to Regents Park which is lovely. you can walk along the canal as described above. Or from there not a long walk to Marylebone (nice) and Oxford Street (not so nice) but through there to Soho (cool). Not a short walk.

Alternatively from Camden you can walk up the hill to Primrose Hill - a great look out over London and nice cafes and pubs, or hop on the tube ( or walk) up to Hampstead, a posh but lovely village. Have crepes from the french crepe stand or visit a pub or cafe, from there you can walk on Hampstead Heath up to Kenwood (with a cafe and art collection) or visit Keats House (lower Hampstead) or Fenton House (upper Hampstead).

For a night out Camden has a lot of restaurants and pubs plus the Jazz Cafe venue.
