Ideas for Uni student pick me up to be delivered

DD2 and her 2 friends have had a tough week returning to uni with a lot of issues (none their fault)

I want to send them something nice for the weekend. I wondered about brownies. DD1 suggested popcorn and face masks however I want something I can order online and get delivered

Any fun suggestions? I cant send movies/DVDs as I have no clue what sort to get them (they are slightly alternative in that sort) So I am mostly thinking food/pamper

Brownies are a good idea but they don't reopen until the 22nd. I want something I can send today/tomorrow.

Biscuiteers are a lovely surprise in the post :)

Otherwise maybe a voucher for dinner at a nearby restaurant / just eat or deliveroo so they can enjoy a night out or in together - always a treat for students!

Bunnybigears · 15/01/2020 18:39

You can get popcorn and face masks from Amazon and get them delivered.

Enko · 15/01/2020 18:40

Biscuiteers are a good idea I had forgotten about them

@Bunnybigears I know this but I want something a bit "special" to make them smile. They are great girls and I would like them to feel they had a " pick me up"

I send Graze boxes for my DS, this link might get him a free one!

But it takes nearly a week for the first one.

What about an online shop with Asda/Tesco?

You can add face masks, wine, brownies, nice meals, snacks?

Enko · 15/01/2020 18:58

I was hoping someone might have a bit of a fun idea. I want something that will make them feel it is special and for me, an Amazon or a supermarket delivery just won't do that.

I love the graze box idea but yes usually they are later on. Have anyone used thevegankindsupermarket? I am looking at their boxes and wondering about trying that.

You could make it a fun supermarket shop. My mum once sent me one while at uni, it had a fancy ready meal with dessert, wine, chocolates and some other goodies, I think bubble bath and flowers.

Or there are gourmet marshmallows, edible bouquets, spa voucher/at home treatment like a mani pedi or massage.

I have bought my best friend things a couple of times from BearHugs - lovely little company that do gorgeous packaging so it feels really special. You can build your own pack or pick one of their pre-existing ones! Usually arrives in 2-3 days.

I once went my daughter a delivery of vodka, cake, cheese, bread and chocolate. It was via a supermarket but she and her flatmates liked it. A lot.

Next day delivery as well, bookable slots ...

This company do the best brownies in the whole world. I got sent some when I had my baby and they were possibly my favourite gift.

What about a local bakery/restaurant? Order through Uber eats or deliveroo or something like that? Get them some yummy treats from somewhere fancy? I don't know the area so can't suggest anything specific but if you open the websites and stick in their postcode it should let you see what you could get x

GeorgeTheFirst · 15/01/2020 19:36

Krispy Kreme via deliveroo?

HollyBollyBooBoo · 15/01/2020 19:39

Could you book them in for a facial/ mani or something at a local salon?

I don't think uni aged girls would be impressed with biscuits would they?
