Kids bank account with a cash book?

Does anyone know about any kind of kids bank account with a cash book so they can see how much money they have put into the account and watch it grow? Or anything similar?

I used to have this as a kid and think it's a great way to encourage them to save. My DS is only 7 so probably too young for online banking or a bank card.

Thanks!

Yorkshire Building Society, both mine (1yr & 7yrs) have accounts there and both have cash books.

I agree, your local building society.

Nationwide here! Before you pick one work out which has the most branches that you can travel to. It's been a pain with bank closures.

Both mine have a Halifax save4it account which comes with a book. It gets updated every time they make a deposit/withdrawal.

Nationwide. Both ds's have it. It's online, so I can make transfers etc. When I occasionally remember to take the book into branch, they update the book. I like having the book as an old fashioned record!!
