Loved them, and now I need more books in my life.

Any suggestions?

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Crazy Rich Asians (and its sequels), Stay with Me, You Think It I'll Say It, Less

I've read Eleanor Oliphant but not the others, so thanks for that suggestion

Francienolan "You think it I'll say it" is a really great book, it was how I discovered Curtis Sittenfeld and I have now read most of her books! I also really like Liane Moriarty.

I've just read the Botanist's Daughter which I quite enjoyed.
I also always enjoy a Kate Morton.

Ooh I love Sally Rooney. My recommendations are My Year of Rest and Relaxation and The New Me.

I really enjoyed Normal People, but I struggled a bit with Conversations. I suddenly found that I didn't like Frances (or the other three), and their complete self-obsession bored me. Anyone else find this? And yet I liked Connor and Marianne!

TheWeatherGirl1 · 17/01/2020 16:40

Thanks all, will check these out.

Bookridden, completely agree re Frances.
I found myself starting to hope that it all went really wrong for her.
I'm a bad person.
Still enjoyed the book though.

You might like The Female Persuasion by Meg Wolitzer, I've just finished it and really enjoyed it.
