Do you know someone who's passed their driving test within the last year or so?

Like yourself, your DC or close family member?

The reason I ask is I'm curious to know how long people were waiting before their full licence was posted through the door Grin

I'm being very impatient as I only passed on Thursday last week!

I know it can take 3 weeks but I was just wondering how long people personally had to wait.

Thank you!

Congratulations!

I passed last March, and I think it was a week, but I believe you can drive straight away and show the pass certificate if stopped.

Unfortunately I don't have a pass certificate Sad Mine was sent off because I had to send the documents in myself (change of address meant the examiner couldn't do it on my behalf)

pretty sure you are allowed ot drive though.

Why don't you phone DVLA and ask if you can drive?

I came home from my driving test and went straight out in the car!

My daughter passed last year and it was about six days. My son passed the year before and it was less than six days.

If you've passed you're allowed to drive. If you were to get pulled over for any reason the police can check with the DVLA (although without a certificate not sure you have access to your driving licence number for insurance?)

Thanks all for the replies. It's lovely to know I could maybe even received the license as early as this week.

I can't drive without my licence as I can't get my car without it. I'm a motorbility customer and thankfully get a car on that, which is new and not available to order unless I can show my licence to the dealership
