Anyone know what this could be on DD's leg? (Pics)

I first noticed this on her leg this morning, it goes around her whole leg and is really straight, my first thought was she must of drawn on herself but she's only 3 and couldn't draw that neatly, next thought was maybe she had put a hair band around her leg but just got her out the bath and it's still there Confused I'm totally baffled as to what it can be and google isn't much help and I've asked her and she's doesn't seem to know either.

I would have said hair bobble too. Has it faded at all?

notaregularmom · 10/01/2020 17:40

No it's exactly the same as this morning, it's really odd.

That's really odd that it hasn't faded, sorry I'm no help 🙄.

I'd say due to something tight around the leg.

Shockers · 10/01/2020 17:43

Is there a hair around it?

JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam · 10/01/2020 17:44

I think I’d have that checked out. It’s very odd. Has she got a hair wrapped around it at all?

notaregularmom · 10/01/2020 17:46

Nope no hair, that too crossed my mind this morning. Im really stumped Confused

notaregularmom · 10/01/2020 17:48

It's not bumpy or scaly or anything it's just flat and has no ridge at all.

Maybe take her to the pharmacy, they're quite good at diagnosing skin things.

Morningchorus · 10/01/2020 17:50

It’s so straight and clear that its must be contact with something. Either an elastic or sometimes even a bit of hair gets wrapped around body parts and leaves a mark. Socks, trousers etc.

BestOption · 10/01/2020 17:50

Something that ‘straight’ I wouldn't worry about. I’d put it down to something she’s either deliberately or accidentally put around her leg (hair band/kids stretchy bracelet etc) or pulled up (socks/ pjs). I’d wait and see what it’s like in the morning.

Tell her she’s not in trouble - but does she know what might have made the line?!

Not that I think she’s scared of you 🤣 but some small kids worry about getting into trouble over the daftest things 🤷🏻‍♀️

Em308 · 10/01/2020 18:00

Welly chafe?

notaregularmom · 10/01/2020 18:04

I'll see if it's still there tomorrow and if it is I'll get it checked. I swear my kids only get ill/have mysterious skin conditions on a Friday Shock always when the doctors aren't open. Thanks guys

@Em308 she hasn't worn wellies in weeks or long boots.

If you stretch the skin does it fade at all?
No ideas other than what's been said

Miljea · 10/01/2020 18:18

Surely a long sock?

Alwayschasingoldenrainbows · 10/01/2020 18:49

My daughter had that on her wrist from putting an elastic band on it. When the indentation from where it had had been went down, she had a flat red line for a couple of days where it had been.

aNonnyMouse1511 · 10/01/2020 18:51

My eldest put a hair and around her wrist once and my husband didn’t notice when checking on her before bed so it wasn’t found until the morning by me. I immediately removed it and told my DH off. Anyway, the Mark lasted weeks! So I’d still say a hairband.

Penny31 · 10/01/2020 18:53

Has she had her leg stuck in anything recently!? Can’t think what..maybe cot sides or something?

Buddyelf · 10/01/2020 18:59

Did she have socks on that high? Dd used to get this exact line on her leg with a specific pair of socks, we realised after a couple of wears the socks were causing it and stopped using them.

Cocolapew · 11/01/2020 11:07

Any change today?

notaregularmom · 11/01/2020 11:48

@Cocolapew still exactly the same this morning, hasn't faded at all it's so odd.
She only wears ankle socks so can't be high socks. It's baffling Confused

Tight socks or hair band. X

Passthecake30 · 11/01/2020 12:00

Does she wear pjs where the legs rise up the shins overnight?

CoffeeBeansGalore · 11/01/2020 12:05

Is there anything in her bed?
