Is there ever a right time to try for a baby?

I'm 28, DH 30 and we've just started talking about when we might like to start trying to conceive. Trouble is, I keep thinking of things that would be easier to have done and out the way first (in an ideal world) but if I did all of them, we probably wouldn't be trying to conceive for another 10 years or so! Is there a right time to start trying or is it just a case of when you feel happy and comfortable enough to start? I feel we've already got a good amount of things in place, homeowner's, decent ish jobs, a fantastic family support network, and I wonder if there's going to be a definite moment when everything comes together or if we should just bite the bullet and try now? How did it happen for you?
