In the midst of the very serious and intense H&M stepping-down threads, i thought we could discuss (as the title says, this is lighthearted) what they could do to become "financially independent".

Well she could go back to acting. Playing herself when The Crown catches up to the present day (though currently the producers are saying it won’t happen) would be a particularly fabulous role

How about a Dick and Angel type "Escape to the Palace" reality TV show? Buy some rundown country pile, do it up, become wedding planners. Harry could get army buddies in to help with building and gardening work, Meghan could do artsy fartsy craft stuff in the castle with the bairn. Harry could perform a humanist wedding ceremonies and couples could then have the marriage legally validated at a registry office later. They could flog cushions, placemats, weekend breaks, working holidays and tours of the castle. They'd also earn a hefty income from Channel 4. They'd be booked up for years. SORTED.

There's some bollox on the interweb news media about Harry becoming Governor of Canada. Can't see him being able to live off £233,000 a year though as he'd be prevented from earning other income and that sort of salary wouldn't keep Meghan in court shoes.And she wouldn't have much of a role as "wife of Governor". Post doesn't fall vacant until 2022 anyhow.
