Joint bank account but not current accounts? Do they exist?

Strange question, we have joint current account but I want more joint accounts we both have access to... For savings etc.

On our current account bank we have several savings accounts.
We want different bank or building society... Does such a thing exist?

Of course they do, the majority of savings accounts can be joint - there are loads of financial institutions such as Tesco bank, sainsburys, Post Office - plus banks and a myriad of other savings accounts.

Maybe search on money supermarket or similar for best rates?

Ok thanks, I guess we just need usual documentation... Passports etc. It's not really the rates I m concerned with, this is for Christmas savings, car fund etc... So shorter term

Can you just open single accounts but both have internet access? DH and I have a few small saving pots spread around various accounts and some are in my name, some are in his but we both admin them online

Any building society will open a joint savings account over the counter for you. Take photo ID and proof of address.

If you’re both with the same bank then you may not even need to go into branch to open joint a basic bank (current) account or savings account.

Grin thanks I don't know why I just thought for a joint account it had to be a current account 😂😂.

We have something idiotic like 4 joint accounts, one of which is definitely a savings account, another might be, can't remember. In addition, I have two current accounts which are not joint, and dh has at least one.

Most of the accounts are with one bank but one of my sole accounts is with a building society. I may still have an account with the Post Office which I had 30 odd years ago and don't think I ever closed.

We have tons of accounts! Ther are reasons for it.

Look at Monzo bank - it’s all in line and has saving pots attached to the current account which you can easily set up as many lots as you want - so holiday Christmas school uniform or even bills that aren’t on direct debit, so you can save monthly for those.
