Dubai/UAE prescription drug rules

I am trying to fathom out the rules of what medication is allowed into the UAE and am being stupid I'm sure.

I am on levothyroxine, fluoxetine and also omeprazole.

I see this entry on rhis website www.expatwoman.com/dubai/guide/moving-to-dubai/full-list-of-banned-and-controlled-medicines-in-dubai-and-uae which to me suggests fluoxetine is banned?

Can anyone help?

My reading of the rules is that a drug on the CDb list like fluoxetine needs prior approval but isn’t banned.

I'd never go there and this is one of the reasons but I used to be on controlled drugs and I got the GP to write a letter stating I was prescribed the medication when I went to the USA and Spain.

I wonder what their problem is with Prozac? It's not addictive, doesn't get you high and is very mainstream in the U.K.

Bizarre.

Lets see if it doesn't get blown up first...
