I’ve just bought a used Viva, 3 years old so not the old version.
We picked it up last night, all good and I unlocked it this morning using the key fob.
Drove to work, parked Up, came out this evening and walked towards the car, pressed the key fob and heard a chirping sort of audible alarm whilst the hazard lights flashed repeatedly. The hazard lights continued to flash as I got in the car and I had to disable them by switching them off on the button on the dashboard.
Does anyone know if this is normal? I’m wondering if it’s because the key fob was taken more than 25m away from the car? The owners manual refers to the anti theft alarm being activated if the key fob is taken out of this zone - I’m wondering if the keys are in the house it they are close and it doesn’t happen?
Basically, I’d like to know if it’s normal as if there’s a fault I’ll be getting back In touch with the garage ASAP
Thanks
