Do I need a whole new mattress?

My 1 year old peed past his nappy last night and I found out I must have got the mattress the wrong way round as only half the cover comes off, revealing a plastic side but I had that on the bottom

The side he slept on doesn’t come off and I can’t seem to wash it - so how do I clean it?

It was a mother care one and the website is gone now so I can’t show anyone what one it was, so I hope my description of the cover makes sense ?

Hydrogen peroxide dissolves anything thay comes out of a body, I use it for blood puke dog wee.... The lot stuck it on, it froths up when it hits bacteria and it all just disappears. Magic stuff. My son had a huge nosebleed on a cream wool and 24 hours later you couldn't even see where it had been. Chemist's, 1.29 a bottle.

And failing that, flash bleach spray is really strong and will do the same

Forgive me for being PFB but isnt bleach spray too toxic for a mattress?
I still have milton fluid to make up so thought about using that

the path that was wet was only about 5cm in diameter

Thanks for your help though

Try bicarbonate of soda. That will remove the smell as well
