Campaign for better mental health funding?

My heart sank when I saw this piece in the Independent, showing the assault stats from mixed-sex mental health wards. I don't think anyone will deny that patients deserve to feel safe. Since a lot of the pressure appears to be from underfunding, how can we tackle this in a way the Government will actually listen and find the cash for it?

Mental health care has always been vastly underfunded and I worked on acute mental health wards for years ,they can be very volatile ,single sex wards can help ,there is a lot wrong with mental health care ,but the mental health trust I worked for wasted a lot of funding it did get until they are held accountable for there actions I doubt much will change tbh.

i wish something would be done my father spent years battling addictions and mental illness. In that time i didn't see his care improve i saw it gradually stripped away.

My sisters care was not much better and it ended with her suicide

@x2boys, that is depressing to hear. It sounds like a total overhaul is needed and better advocation in general for patients.
