Can I just ring up and cancel tax credits?

Just that really. Partner is due to move in with me at some point. He earns enough to support us and I have just had an interview for a job.

I don’t want to claim them anymore as it’s so much hassle.

Do I just ring them? Worried they will ask for all his bank details etc as I don’t know them.

It's been a few years since I claimed them but was just a case of ringing to change details. They didn't ask for partners bank account details at all.

If you want to cancel your claim why would they need your partners bank details? Not like they’ll be paying him anything...

I’ve never claimed tax credits, but surely?!

Yes but be aware if you claim in the future it will be universal credit

I cancelled mine online and written received confirmation that it was done. Didn't need to provide any other details other than the date we moved in together. Payments continued for a 2 further weeks which I then paid back.
