What has your one-year-old eaten today?

Shamelessly stolen idea from the toddler thread! DD is almost one and I think I'm in a bit of a rut with her food so would like some ideas for lunches and dinners particularly! She's a great eater who eats everything you give her currently so the only limit is my own imagination at the moment.

So today...

Breakfast: A crumpet, banana and a satsuma. We do eggs a few times a week for breakfast and Weetabix, although that makes an unholy mess and sets like cement!

Snack: A little handful of Cheerios as she loves picking them up and trying to feed them to the dog

Lunch: Chicken and cheese pieces with cucumber and pepper sticks and a satsuma. Our lunches are really boring!

Snack: Some blueberries

Dinner: I think we're having fajitas tonight so she'll have a little fajita, so chicken, peppers, salsa, sour cream and a bit of cheese in a wrap, and then fruit salad or yoghurt for afters. She usually has something like spaghetti bolognaise, tuna pasta, fishfingers and vegs, etc.

DD has had:

Breakfast: 8oz formula, Weetabix with cows milk

Lunch: Slice of toast and a banana, 5oz formula. She didnt eat much of the toast

Dinner will be spag bol.

DD likes hash browns, potato waffles, fishfingers, oat crackers with cheese, gnocchi coated with a bit of sauce. She also likes mixed veg - watching her pick up and eat individual peas and kernels of corn is fascinating Grin

Ha! I was thinking of asking the same. My 13 month old eats very little:

Breakfast: a bit of banana; a few spoons of porridge.

That’s all so far Shock. Lots of breast milk though.

I’ll try to get him to have some oatcakes with peanut butter when he wakes from his nap. And some blueberries. Dinner is fish cakes with veg.

I’m not the best for ideas, sorry!

Do you ever offer sandwiches? You can squash them so they don’t come apart.

I used to do wrap pizzas, bit of tomato purée on the wrap with cheese and whatever veg or ham and cook them, it’s dead quick. DS used to love them.

Ooh yes, I don't know why we stopped doing sandwiches actually! She gets them when we go out for lunch and they have a 'kids meal' type thing, but I should start doing them at home again.

I used to make muffins and pinwheels and pancakes to freeze too but I started back at work recently (self-employed from home) and that's kind of slipped a bit. Maybe I'll do some baking this weekend.

Yes! DD bloody loves picking up peas. She'd happily spend hours just eating peas and sweetcorn I think.

When DS was one he ate veg curry pretty much every day for lunch! I made it in big batches and froze in portions. Refuses to touch the stuff since 18 monthsish though. But was such a good lunch, protein from beans, lots of veg, coconut milk for some fat.

My almost one year old eats barely anything at the moment. Today he’s had about 5 shreddies, a couple of mouthfuls of chicken casserole, about three organic baby crisps. He’s been offered other food but has chucked it on the floor

I'm struggling to get my one year old to eat much a dinner time so place-marking for ideas.

Today he had
Breakfast - 2x kids bowls of rice crispies with wheat bran, natural yog and 10 grapes and 3/4 toast with butter
7oz cowsmilk
Snack - 3 rice cakes and two custard creams at toddler group Blush
Lunch - peanut butter sandwich (1 slice of bread), big chunk of cucumber, 1/2 cherry tomato, blueberries and an ellas kitchen green pouch
Will have a small snack eg babybel after nap
Tea is leftover Jamie's green mac and cheese with garlic bread

He seems to eat loads in the morning, average amount at lunch and then very little at tea. He has an 7-8oz bottle of cowsmilk at bedtime.
