Anyone been to Breakspear Medical in Hemel Hempstead, or seen another Environmental Medicine doctor

There's the Breakspear in Hemel Hempstead, and also a small list of environmental practitioners here www.bsem.org.uk/pages/14-practitioners

I'm interested if you've been to any of these places or anything similar, whether good or bad experiences. (If you're sceptical but have never actually been there or made enquiries with them, I'm not interested and this is not the thread for you).

I live in London but it seems like the Breakspear is the most specialist hospital where they have the most help available, or at least the most detail about them that can be read online, so I'm wondering if it's worth several train journeys to Hemel Hempstead. All the London doctors on that list are in the Harley Street area so presumably they'll be extremely expensive.

I'm fed up of being allergic to everything. I've already seen an allergy specialist who was no help. My GP is not interested. I honestly feel like I've had some kind of chemical injury. It's causing me numerous health problems.

Have you tried this group? Many people with chemical sensitives.

I think I'm going to have to make a few phone calls and see what people can offer. I really don't know what to do though.

Hi... @walnutblossom - I have only just seen this so it may be a little late but I’ve registered, specially to respond to you!
I have been struggling with my health and visiting various ‘alternative’ practitioners for years with little success. I have a baffling complex health issue which started with what seemed to be like an osteoarthritis attack and I could barely move for several months. It wasn’t Osteo arthritis and is too difficult to explain here but I’ve been using Breakspear for over 14 months now. I also tried to connect with Burghwood but they are much more limited in what they offer and the waiting time was too much for me in so much pain.Dr Sara Myhill would be great but her site is so dense it’s difficult to know where to start - and dangerous to self diagnose, I would suggest. People travel from far afield to work with Breakspear - they are quite unique in what they offer and Dr Jean Monro effectively introduced the UK to functional medicine. Yes, they are expensive but I would heartily recommend Breakspear. - Just avoid the immune therapy if you can. - That's hugely expensive. Over the year or so we have been drilling down into what is amiss with me in a way the NHS has no ability to do. It’s been very revealing. I work with Dr. Nikita White.Her knowledge and abilities are outstanding and after years of wandering round in a fog about it all, I seem to be getting somewhere.
