Looking for a Super Fabulous restaurant for brunch/lunch in London

It's for DH's 50th. We're going to see the Harry Potter play the day before so there won't be time between performances for a swanky dinner.

But the following day, before heading home, it would be nice to go for a special meal.

Any ideas? My son recommended The Ned.

What sort of food do you like? Are you looking for a tasting menu or a la carte? Does it matter where in London or is anywhere central ok? Budget?

Do you want a view? Somewhere Michelin starred? A ‘name’ restaurant?

The Wolseley? I haven't been but it seems to come up a lot for breakfast.

Dishoom for lunch?

Duck and waffle. Perfect for special birthday.

We're going to be staying at The Kimptn hotel which I think is near Russell Square.

We like fine dining I guess.

Those recommendations all look interesting. Will have a look.

Think I'm looking for the Wow factor re setting and food. It doesn't need to be romantic as we'll be meeting friends for the meal.

Bubble Dogs. Not sure about location. Basically champagne and amazing hot dogs.

The Wolseley breakfast looks great. The restaurant itself appears very impressive!

If it's a Sunday, brunch at The Ned is like heaven!

Set lunch at Le Gavroche or Ramseys on Royal Hospital Road. Savoy Grill? Depends on what you like and your budget. Wolseley is generally good and The Ivy is nice. Set lunches allow expensive restaurants on a budget.

It's not a Sunday, it will be a Thursday.
