Where is the best place to donate money for Australia?

I would especially like to give to the animal rescue centres?
Does anyone have any idea where is the best reputable website to donate to?
Lots of things are coming up on Facebook but I don’t want give to just any organisation as I’m not sure how genuine they are.

I'd like to do this too. Will take a look. I know theres a fundraising page for the firefighters.

The world wildlife fund have a donation site and if you Google The Evening Standard they have an article on how to donate to different charities
