Help! Need a dress for a posh wedding in Europe

I'm going to my bil wedding in August which is in a European country. I haven't been to many weddings before and never to one where I've had to get really dressed up. Where should I look? What's a good brand? I don't know how to do things like this!

What time of year and which European country? Temperatures across Europe vary massively! Has he provided a dress code? Black tie and smart casual would be very different and not necessarily interchangeable.

It's going to be very hot. No dress code but I know from talking to dh relatives they get really dressed up for weddings. Definitely not smart casual!

If it’s going to be hot, you’ll probably end up being uncomfortable in whatever you choose to wear (that’s my experience of attending several weddings in Europe).
I’d recommend wearing nothing too fitted, try shops like ASOS, 8th Sign, Warehouse, Lavish Alice. Go for a midi length for comfort. Take a change of outfit for the evening if possible.
