Not watched it in ages. Who on the staff has died and how. Also what's happened to Charlie's lip?

I was wondering about the lip

I assume that Duffy hit him over Christmas due to her deteriorating dementia

Mason died suddenly last week

Duffy did it at new year he explains at the start just before Connie turns up.

I've missed a few episodes. What did Connie Beacham do to upset Charlie so much?

I'm finding casualty a bit boring recently. I watch it out of habit but it's just got a bit dull! Anyone else think the same?

We love Casualty , it has it's up and downs same as everything, not boring though .

Me and Dh love Casualty - but it has been dull of late.

Charlie's injury is very random! I wonder if it's a cold sore and they have had to write on a story around it

I haven't seen it for years, I can't believe Charlie and Duffy are still in it ! Those actors must be pretty good at basic medical stuff by now 😀

Why is Connie referred to as mrs? I thought only surgeons used that title within medicine

I find most of the newer characters a bit meh and uninteresting. I know it's always had it's ups and downs but I agree it's been very dull recently.

Watched it tonight for the first time in ages as there was nothing else on - didnt know who a lot of them were and just found it very 'far fetched'.

She still is a surgeon, does all sorts in ED as does Dylan. However she used to be a bigwig cardio-thoracic surgeon, I've never worked out why she changed disciplines but I suppose people do; A&E is certainly varied and interesting.

Mason's death was tragic but it was a relief that it was from natural causes.

I missed where Duffy attacked Charlie but guessed that was what happened to his lip.

Was about to start my own thread! So why has Connie been away for a while?

Connie has been away because she got hooked on anti depressants? pain killers?

I think it was tranquilizers that she took after that one patient's husband physically attacked her.
