Is anyone else pissing themselves ever so slightly with this awful cough?

Sometimes a bit more than ‘ever so slightly’ Blush. I was eyeing up the tena ladies in the chemist earlier, please tell me this is temporary ... I’m nearly 52, two kids.

Not at the moment but I've been there. Feeling your pain.

winniesanderson · 03/01/2020 19:55

Yep, I was there a few weeks back. I'm 36, with 2 children Blush Thankfully it seems to have only been a thing during the worst of the cough.

neddle · 03/01/2020 19:57

Not even bothering with tena. Folded up towels shoved between my legs at night.
And my period started yesterday as well Sad

Shinnyyyyyyy · 03/01/2020 19:57

Omg that was me a couple of weeks ago. Awful. The cough seemed to stay around forever as well.

SantaBeckett · 03/01/2020 21:22

MegaClutterSlut · 03/01/2020 21:25

MegaClutterSlut · 03/01/2020 21:26

Btw it is temporary, as soon as the coughed stopped it was all good thank god

chocolatespiders · 03/01/2020 21:29

Is there a bad cough doing the rounds?
Dd has had a terrible cough for a week and it doesn't seem to be getting better. She hasn't mentioned pissing her pants though!!

Any advice?

Omg. So happy you wrote this thread. I was very concerned a few weeks ago, it seemed all a bit out of control. But stopped thankfully when the cough did.

ShouldI101 · 03/01/2020 21:31

Me. Need to get back on the pelvic floor exercises.

Flicketyflack · 03/01/2020 21:34

Yep me!

Started a thread about the cough!

I do my kegels too. Confused

EggysMom · 03/01/2020 21:43

This has been me for the last two winters - if I get a cough, I leak. I've accepted the fact, and have a pack of Tena on standby. I know there'll be somebody along shortly who will say it's not normal and there are medical interventions but I don't need that, I only leak when I cough, it's not a regular thing. So Tena at the ready Smile

JustaScratch · 04/01/2020 01:09

Yep, had a cough the last three weeks. I have to stop where I am and cross my legs each time I need to cough. Thank god I work from home. Am 42. Fed up.

Royallyscrewed · 04/01/2020 01:52

YES!!! To the point that I gave up trying to get to the loo and sat on a towel this afternoon. No one was home to witness it and I am exhausted trying to cough without vomiting or pissing on myself

Happinessinapeartree · 04/01/2020 02:00

Been there. Used Tena heavy flow things. Thank god. Now wear light pad most days as my bladder control seems to have gone on a long holiday!

leapinglucy · 04/01/2020 02:01

OMG, the dreaded cough. My mum was hospitalized with it (but she is in her early 80s and gets pneumonia easily), and eventually we all came down with it. DS (16) has been coughing for weeks and weeks.

I always piss myself when coughing a lot or laughing hard (should've done my kegelsSad). I got some disposable bed pads - not good for the environment I know! - and put one under my hips until I stopped coughing. Better than Tena.
