Mine is the practical jokes thread, was so sad to read. What's yours?

OP posts:
Ollypollydolly · 31/12/2019 18:35

Honestly it was the Mornington Crescent thread. Absolutely bewildered me before I googled it...and it still does bewilder me Grin

sockittome123 · 31/12/2019 18:37

I'm not going to say specifically which one, but one that started with a post from hospital and followed the OP through an amazing medical journey.

TenPenceMix · 31/12/2019 18:38

@Ollypollydolly I like to think everyone on those threads are just very pissed!

OP posts:
MoreSweetcorn · 31/12/2019 20:35

I think I remember that one, Sock. An absolute miracle!

Skolkolet · 31/12/2019 20:44

Definitely the amazing miraculous finding of a lost ring by a fellow Mumsnetter within twenty minutes of the original post about it! Literally unbelievable!

CoffeeRunner · 31/12/2019 20:49

One about parking. Where a neighbour was being nasty & another neighbour jumped in and put him straight.

PerfectPretender · 31/12/2019 20:53

I enjoyed it when the Thigh women overtook an AMA thread about Dom/sub sex. The op was trying to be all kinky and weird but nobody was interested. 😂

twinkledag · 31/12/2019 22:42

The Mornington Crescent threads baffle me! What are they all about?!

floffel · 31/12/2019 22:47

The one where the OP was attracted to one of her builders - I think he had a false tooth?

lightlypoached · 31/12/2019 23:37

The one where the lovely lady was treating her friends to a holiday and one went all mad CFer and OP stood up to her. Always wanted to know how that turned out.

Bunkerlife · 01/01/2020 02:48

@sockittome123 I know how that one ended in real life

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/01/2020 03:04

Funny one :

Gingle Bells/Little Women braids

This mad one :

The woman who wanted to know how someone she knew, who wasn't a relative could play the system to access a minor child at great haste they were already voluntarily no contact with so the child could be present to see a terminally relative prior to their death.
The woman just wanted to know how to accomplish this at any cost, she didn't give a shit about the childs wishes or welfare or want anyone to tell her it was wrong and was extremely rude to anyone who tried. A truly cunty individual and a baffling thread.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/01/2020 03:08

Oh and the OP with the MIL who had a CF SIL who wanted proceeds from an inheritance which had been given to her stepson prior to her marriage. The fact that it was spent among all grandchildren and long gone did not deter her and she wanted money from each grandchild to add up to "their cut"

Her husband was never in the will, she wasn't married to him at the time his father died, and she wanted the money for her DC who were not her husbands DC nor related to the deceased, nor met him. ShockConfused

AlessandraBumbrosio · 01/01/2020 03:17

That MAD thread of a woman considering traping a man she isn't interested in so that she can have a baby and his extended family as support for/with that baby. She had already got 2 DC of around 20 years olds. She basically wanteda fully comp sperm donor! Absolutely bonkers 😂

The style and beauty thread on whether she should get lip fillers.

Effiedg · 01/01/2020 03:37

The one where someone was moaning that her boss interrupted her every time she was on her mobile phone which she checked every ten minutes. She seemed to think it was ok and stated that she had been there longer than her boss, like that was significant!

Aprilcherry04 · 01/01/2020 10:50

The postman thread! At least I think that was this year Grin

ForalltheSaints · 01/01/2020 12:18

I am shocked that there are people bewildered about Mornington Crescent. I am sorry I haven't a clue which other thread to choose.

DecemberSnow · 01/01/2020 13:09

Afew that i believed, that got deleted because they were trolls....

plunkplunkfizz · 01/01/2020 13:18

Not a cheerful one but the thread where the OP’s wife was dying and she sang an ABBA song to her (maybe I misremember the last bit). I’m normally very stoic but I was in floods of tears and had to stop reading.

Was the hen party/baby one this year? A woman (not the OP if I recollect accurately) wanted to bring a baby and her husband to a glamping hen party. That was hilarious.
