Name changed for this as a bit outing but am a regular MN poster.
Tomorrow is the London New Years Day parade and for those of you that don't know it has a borough competition - boroughs can win up to £10,000 for charities in their borough.
Our borough enters a flat every year (and amazingly won last year) and it's all done by charity volunteers - we have some local sponsors but as an outer London borough nothing like the resources of some of the central London ones. There's a whole team spending the time between Christmas and new year building the float from scratch!
This year there is also a viewer If you watch the parade live or on tv and like our float please do vote for us!!!!!!!!!!!! (Online website or via fb / twitter I believe)
