Anyone else not celebrating to ight or cooking a special meal tomorrow?

Same old shit.

Amd waiting till 9 to go to bed and tomorrow will be like any other day.

Pasta or lasagne.

We've had a lovely walk today, spag Bol for dinner. We wouldn't bother staying up till midnight but there's always fireworks going off and DD reckons bookings for her lab options open at 00:00 jan 1st so she wants to be awake for that.

Dinner out tomorrow - normally it's lunch but DD wants to study all day before going back to uni on Thursday. And the meal is because it's my birthday, not some arbitrary starting point of the year.

In 23 years with dh we have never celebrated new year. I. Fact even as a teenager I just didn’t really get it. And as a teenager I REALLY liked to party. Our teens are out tonight but we will have a normal night in and go to bed at our normal time.

I’ve ordered a takeaway but mainly because I cba to cook and don’t have a lot in anyway.
Got DP and my teenager here but I really don’t fancy staying up til midnight just to say happy new year, then go to bed

Just another normal night for us too. With 2 dc that are horrendous sleepers and early risers I will probably fall asleep by 9pm.

Staying in by myself tonight as I'm not in the mood for a party while heavily pregnant and no babysitter for the toddler. DH is off to a party so at least I dont feel like I need to stay up and be sociable! Will be in bed by 9 with Christmas cake and a good book.

Have been to work, now watching 'The Crown' on Netflix with DP, the fireworks have started already! Having a bottle of fizzy pink. Will be asleep by midnight.

Me, same shit just a different year. I've been at my mum's all Christmas with ds, he is in his bedroom playing on Xbox, mumis watching soaps downstairs & I'm bumming around in my room on phone until what I want to watch on TV comes on. Both me & ds are autistic & I think we are both all peopled out & are craving some peace & our own company.

This is the first NYE I've had off in years, I can't remember the last one I haven't worked at least until 10pm if not after midnight or Nightshift. Work in hospitality so it's a rare treat and the last thing I want to do is spend it with drunk people in a pub! I worked about 60 hours last week and then went to a wedding 300 miles away on Sunday so tonight I've got some pate, chocolate and I'm scanning the TV board for recommendations on Netflix to watch tonight (so if anyone has a recommendation send it my way 😁) and tomorrow. DD is with family elsewhere so just me and the dogs, a hot bath and relax, could have gone to my friends tonight but I don't really want to. Might be awake still at midnight or might have dropped off, either way the new year will start anyway. Walking dogs and seeing to horses tomorrow, got turn out duties for the hungover in the morning and I'll probably graze on left over lovelies from today for food.

Not invited to anything as usual, and everyone else is doing things. DH and I will watch the Last Leg in bed, and we're going for a nice walk tomorrow

Bit of a depressing thread 😖

Hubby & I are staying in this year for the first time in 20 odd years due to illness & really not wanting to go out - happy to have a few snacks & drinks in the house.

Will be having a nice meal tomorrow - it'll be a bit strange as son of 22 won't be with us for the first time - he'll be nursing a hangover in his rented house.

Not celebrating, we don't tend to these days, and DH is on a 13 hr shift tomorrow so it's not like we could party the night away even if we wanted to.

We've opened a decent bottle of wine, DD is in bed so we'll just chill out, munch our way through a Chinese and fall asleep by 10 I imagine.

tbh Ive had enough. All my dc including and especially the 21 year old are behaving like total spoiled arses. Im actually just so so fed up with it all. Have gone to bed. Seriously considering going away on my own to an aibnb or something for the next 2 days .

In the car on the way back from post Xmas family visit. About a 5 hour drive so won't be home until late. Dinner tomorrow will be whatever is in the freezer!

I have worked 4 days in a row each week up to Xmas Eve and today in retail so has been manic and kids have have done half arsed jobs that were left for them while I was at work. Sick to death of banging my head against a brick wall. Come tomorrow we are attacking the house and getting it sorted. I would love to just run away for a couple of days. I am off work on hols for several days....might just do it😀

I am sitting in my pjs with a glass of wine and gonna do my own thing all night.
No fancy meal tomorrow just steak pie and veg for main meal and Party food to use up too.
Sod NY it's over rated and just another day. Will see in the bells and watch fireworks but only because I never go to bed before midnight anyway.

Hope 2020 is a good year for everyone.

I've just got into bed, hoping to be fast asleep very soon. Working tomorrow (by choice).

Well I did fall asleep but am awake now courteousy of fireworks and dog disliking them, hope they stop soon.
