Has anyone done an Amazon return where you present the QR code at the till and the PO prints the receipt?

I have to send something back. I don't have any paperwork, as is common these days from Amazon, but when I went through the return process all the options were for the PO or shop to print the receipt. Have you used this new process yet? Do I just wrap up my purchase, no paperwork and ask the PO to print the receipt by presenting the QR thing?

Have done it but not at a PO, a corner shop. Was a bit suspicious myself, but it worked OK!

Yep. Just parcel it up. Pass your phone over the counter and they will use the QR code to print a label. I did it last week and Amazon refunded me in minutes.

TyrannosaurusHex · 30/12/2019 11:52

Yes that’s all you do. The refund normally comes through within hours too - so it’s receipt of the item at the post office that counts rather than return to Amazon itself.

I’ve used it a couple of times with no drama.

Yes I have and it was fine. It felt weird not having any paper work so I was a bit dubious but all was ok!

Fizzywinegum · 30/12/2019 11:55

I’ve done it as well at the Post Office and it was fine - they just scanned the QR code from my phone - much easier than trying to print your own label Smile

Yes exactly, it's very straightforward. I've also used this method with various courier company returns too and it's always been smooth. For me it's much easier than printing.

Yes. More than once. Easy peasy.

Ah, fabulous, thanks all for the reassurance! Sign of my age I guess that I was so reluctant.

yeah, this will work fine. I did one last week where I didnt even have to package the item! Just took it to a counter in Morrisons and they scnaned the code then packaged and labelled and sent off the item - refund was done within the hour - Awesome!

bettybattenburg · 30/12/2019 13:25

Yes, it was fine both times.

Just got one of these label free returns with a QR code - do I have to print anything or enclose anything in the package with the goods?

listsandbudgets · 20/02/2020 19:42

Yes I did it and it worked perfectly. Saves lots of messing about and the refund was almost instant after post office scanned it
