Excuses for a family party

Just that really. Trying to think of a good reason to get my in laws over to our neck of the woods, None of us have big birthdays but I want to do something special for them, for 2 teens my kids age 6-12 and sil who has three young ones between 5 and 18m
Plus 8 adults

January Blues party? Mid to end of Jan when everyone feels gloomy. Everyone has to wear or bring one blue item?
A friend did this last year and it was really good.

Burns Night?

Any Pets? They could have a birthday party.

Fruit trees? Wassail them (bang pots, chuck a bit of drink around around nd hang toast on the trees - freestyle it).

A 'using up the Xmas food' party?
