We are heading over to our local cricket club who are putting on a New Year’s Eve family party. With some extended family but the older teens are opting out to do their own thing.
Then hopefully if we aren’t too hung over a lower key Christmas dinner on New Year’s Day with a joint of beef instead.

No plans except a lovely long beach walk with chips on New Year's Day!! New Year's Eve with 3 under 3 will likely be a cosy one in with Indulgent food and too much wine for DH.

ChristmasCroissant · 27/12/2019 22:05

We are usually at home with a buffet late NYE, but sometimes we go out earlier for a meal. I've been looking today at things to do earlier in the day such as bowling or crazy golf..

NYD - not sure yet, might be travelling to see family if we ever get rid of the cold virus me and DD have got

ExpletiveFairylighted · 27/12/2019 22:06

Stay in NYE with board games then visiting family on NYD.

Dh, dc and I will have a fun feast on new year's eve courtesy of Iceland (the shop obvs Grin) and then spend new year's day taking the decs down and putting the house back together before dh goes back to work on Thursday.

Nicknacky · 27/12/2019 22:16

I’m nightshift so working and sleeping.

inwood · 27/12/2019 22:17

Cosy night in!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 27/12/2019 22:19

I am at work from 9am on the 31st until 9am on the 1st.
I shall then go home, have breakfast, have a nap, and go to see my Mam. Lazy day basically.

Ditsythespider · 27/12/2019 22:20

After working all day Christmas Day I was put on a night shift New Year’s Eve night too, so much for one or the other. So that’s my evening planned. Stay safe or I’ll be picking you up Xmas Hmm

YouOnlyLiveTwice · 27/12/2019 22:21

Cosy family-friendly night in with friends...food, booze, adult games and kids’ games room with loads of Fun Stuff (+ screen). Best possible plans ever with little ones!

bettybattenburg · 27/12/2019 22:22

I'll be at home on my own, DS and DD are both out at a party with DD's boyfriend's parents at the house of DS's girlfriend's parents who they have known for years.

Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany · 27/12/2019 22:23

Chinese, night in and a half marathon on NYD

Verily1 · 27/12/2019 22:25

My dm insists on doing a formal meal on NYD.

It’s a pain with a hangover!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 27/12/2019 22:26

Stay in.
Maybe a Dine In For 2, if we’ve eaten all the gammon by then.
Chill
Buck’s Fizz
Chocolate
Chill
More Buck’s Fizz
Or maybe a Kir Royale or 3, since DB gave us a bottle of Creme de Cassis

MrsOaf · 27/12/2019 22:29

We never usually go out but this year going to a 1920's dinner dance with five other couples we are friends with.

NYD doing hog roast style pork rolls for us and adult dc.

ohmysoul · 27/12/2019 22:35

NYE - probably in bed by 10! I don't really do the midnight thing.
NYD - family coming over for buffet and games.

PrettyPurse · 27/12/2019 22:42

@bettybattenburg that's a bit rubbish. Couldn't they invite you too

bettybattenburg · 27/12/2019 22:50

No, not really as I don't know the people who are hosting that well. It's fine, I will have a lovely meal and wine and buy some films to watch Grin

starrynight19 · 28/12/2019 09:37

Oh that’s a shame bettybattenburg although sometimes it’s nicer to not have to make lots of small talk. Your evening sounds lovely anyway.

Chinese and online casino and drinks
then to a nice restaurant on New Year’s Day
Then back home for games and fun

Natsku · 28/12/2019 09:45

Probably let off a few fireworks, have some drinks and play some board games. And then do as little as possible on NYD.

Shinyshoes2 · 28/12/2019 09:51

Working NYD from 5.30am until 5.30pm .. early night NYD

lowlandLucky · 28/12/2019 09:58

Like most Scot's i will be in my bed sound asleep

bettybattenburg · 28/12/2019 15:16

I'll enjoy my evening and they will enjoy theirs :-)

dementedma · 28/12/2019 15:25

Bugger all. Will be in bed by 10 and bored stiff all the next day as everything is closed. If it’s not pissing down, I will go for a walk

Bluesheep8 · 28/12/2019 15:30

Working on NYE, will get home at about 5pm. Make tea as normal and go to bed at 9pm as normal. NYD we'll probably go for a long walk. So nothing special or different planned.
