Can i return a make up gift set to boots (to exchange)!

I received 2 of the No7 gift sets for Christmas. They are both unopened and the packing is still perfect. Neither of the givers still has the receipt so I was going to nip into town today to exchange one of them for some different bits I need. Will they accept it considering it’s cosmetics? I’m aware I will only get the prices that it’s currently selling at (£25).

Thanks

Refunds only it looks like, says no exchanges in their policy.

Thanks Spud, I saw that but I’m not sure if that refers to online only orders as it talks about the item being faulty when collected from store and despatch times? I think I’ll give their customer services a ring before I brave town. Thanks

It says for items bought in store a refund is available if it's in saleable condition and you have a receipt, there is no mention of exchange there either. Defo give them a call and check Smile

Could you ask either of the gifters for the receipt, given that it is because you were given two rather than because you dont like the present. You could even send a picture on a sort of jokey way saying "whoops, dont suppose you have a receipt?"

It seems a shame not to get the full price that they paid back.

I find big companies sometimes go against their policy it just depends if you ask nice enough and the salesperson is in a good mood. So just try your luck!

They should give you a gift card for the current value as you don't have a receipt.

I took back duplicate presents to Boots a few years ago. They offered me a gift card for the current sale value.

Sorry to jump in does anyone know if I can return a face powder in a sealed box to boots? Well it's the wrong shade Id like to swap it as it was benefit and about £30. No receipt as was a gift.

My sister received loads of gift sets last year and took them back without the receipt. They let her exchange them, no problems. You might only get equivalent to the sale price though now.

20viona I think you’ll be fine to do that. I returned a cream bronzer and for a full refund with the receipt.

I’ve been and they exchanged it no problem! Thanks for your help
