Moana is such a nice Disney film!

My DS loves it so I've now seen it a million times, it's such a nice story! The relationship with her grandma makes me feel teary 😅

Any other lovely films like that?

I also loved frozen when I first came out. I did the whole eye roll at the Disney princess thing, and awaited the prince to rescue the princess. But no! The sisters love for each other safes the day and my faith in Disney

We watched it today. I love it and have been encouraging my toddler daughter to love it too. She is very much a fan now and has even been acting bits out with her toys! I just love the whole message and very much agree with the Grandma relationship- especially when she come back to her to support her.

I love coco, it makes me cry! God knows why as never knew any of my grandparents and my kids GP couldn't be less invested either. So no ideas about that kind of relationship myself

I agree. i nearly didn't watch it. Loathe the modern 'Princessy' ones. Yes also loved Coco.

Love Moana. It always makes me think of summer because we first sat and watched it while fanning little DD4, rolling about in just her nappy when it was BOILING HOT ... summer 2017?

Moana is ok. Mulan will always be my favourite As it’s not your typical princess film. Saying that I always loved sleeping beauty and I am slightly obsessed with frozen 2 at the moment, it is amazing!

Aw I had a small weep at Moana when the gran dies and her spirit is in the stingrays, but admittedly I am a wet blanket and cry at everything!

My only gripe with moana is that that big (demigod?) sorta dude is portrayed as being utterly up his own arse but also, a goodie in the end. I hate narcissistic sorts being portrayed as having good hearts deep down. Because instead of spotting a self promoting dick for what they really are (nasty AF), it encourages us to think 'oh they act like a dick but they'd have my back when it counts' ect...

But that's my own shoulder chip tbf. It's a fun film. Prefer frozen though as far as newer Disneys go because at least that Elsa lass knows a con artist when she sees one.

I love the wave of new style Disney films. The music in Tangled, Moana and obviously Frozen is just fabulous. Moana makes me well-up every time. I don’t even know why but I love the music and the story.

DS watched Moana for the first time on Xmas day and hasn't wanted to watch anything since he's just asked for it for the third time today. I would happily allow it but DH is having none of it! The songs are amazing!

Whoops posted too soon. I love him watching things which strong female leads. He was obsessed with Frozen before Xmas which I loved too.
