Who has a picture rail and makes use of it?

DH bought me a print of my favourite painting for Christmas and he thought we could hang it from the dining room picture rail instead of from the wall. I tried looking up picture rail hanging kits but I'm totally bamboozled by the choice and I'm not entirely sure what we actually need Xmas Confused

Can anyone help?

We have picture rails. There is a hook that rests on the rail and the pictures are hung with picture cord.

We use ours loads!

You just need a metal hook and some nylon cord. Your picture needs hooks at either side at the back.

You can buy picture rail hooks from wilko, B&Q etc. They're only a couple of quid for a pack of 2/3/4. I had picture rail hooks in a previous house and used the hooks then.

We have them all through our 30s house and although we have modernised a lot we've kept them all along with all the coving etc

You can get picture rail hooks from anywhere, Amazon or EBay I get mine from.
