Hot date Saturday argghh..... how to prep to look my best?!

Haven't been on a date in well over a year. Got one saturday night - excited but nervous. At the ripe old age of 40 something I need to make the best of myself. I have sort of known him from a distance (another parent) for many years but only ever exchanged a few words. We matched on the delight that is Tinder - I was quite excited to see him on there!

Aghhh, how to scrub up well surely needs a few days prep?

Well done. How exciting.

Think it's important to feel comfortable first with a bit of glam added on. Don't try anything too new as you want to feel like you.

Just enjoy it!!!!

Thank you, it has hugely brightened my days!

I think i will settle with a face pack, hair pack, do my nails properly.... oh and stop eating mince pies and christmas cake to get rid of some bloat!

Nothing to add on the prep, I think a face and hair pack are the way to go.

But just wanted to say good luck and hope it goes well!

40 is hardly a ripe old age.

My advice is to get your hair blow dried

Drink a lot of water between now and then; use a face peel (eg The Ordinary hyaluronic acid, order online - should be delivered on time) rather than a face pack; get hair blow dried at the hairdresser.

Ooh, and floss repeatedly for a few days!

Just wear clothes you feel good in but don't require adjusting etc. Ditto underwear, scratchy fancy bras that don't sit well under your top isn't ideal for a first date (keep for when it might be seen!).

Best of luck, I did like the buzz of dating on tinder but a warning, a fellow parent seems a safer option but the one I met turned out to be very odd in his preferences. Thankfully he was upfront within a couple of dates what he was in to (and I'm not). I recommend paid for sites to find a proper partner!

Water, proper face mask and flossing added to the list!

I hope its not the same fellow parent LifeisGood Shock

I wouldnt do a face pack...they make my skin flare up....i'd turn up looking red and blotchy.
