I live in a medium sized village. Every Christmas morning from around half seven to nine, there's a few car alarms going off. We rarely hear them any other time - the odd summer evening perhaps.
Why is this? Is it because everyone is off and their cars are at home and they've all forgotten to lock them due to Christmas excitement?
Or is it just our village? DH and I comment on it every year, but have never bothered finding out if there is something behind it
