I give up on Christmas this year.

I got a little 1 foot high Christmas tree to put Resident Collie's presents under. There's only me and Resident Collie, so I don't make a huge effort in the way of decorations. That and if I did, I'd be laid up for a week.
This evening, I came in to find the tree under Resident Collie. It no longer looks like a tree.
This isn't the first tree she's killed. The 2015 tree she chewed on 2016 Boxing Day. She tried to kill 2017's in a similar fashion and it died in the tug of war that followed. Last year I didn't get a tree due to not being able to afford a tree.
Interestingly, up until 2014, we had a 5 foot tree. She never tried to kill that one.
I have to get a bigger tree next year, don't I?

Naughty Collie! Hope you both have a lovely Christmas.

Just grab one of these pretty tabletop tree decorations and keep it on a table, desk, windowsill or whatever.

Glad our tree doesn't look like an actual tree, dog has gone senile and he would probably pee on it.

I give up on Christmas this year.
