Dd3 has a cough and a cold. Not too bad in the day but last night she was up from 2-6 and this evening she’s not stopped coughing.

Iv put vicks on her chest and feet and opened her window slightly.

What else can i do 😩😭 I need sleep too! 😂😂

Put a pillow or a folded blanket underneath her mattress to raise her head slightly?

concooktion · 23/12/2019 21:49

Put a mattress down in her room. Sleep in there. You'll sleep better knowing you'll wake up and be with her if she needs you than if you're worrying in your room.

Sympathy. Same here. We are on night 4. I'm trying a thinly sliced onion at the head end of the bed. Or very hot water in the room with few drops of lavender oil in it

Wet a muslin / towel and put damp on the radiator. This helped with my daughter's recent cough

Vapouriser to steam the room all night. We sometimes add olbas oil if they’re bunged up but mostly just the steam helps a lot

Buy a humidifier.
We add olbas oil to it also. It really helps.

Yes, humidifier is fantastic.
