Disclaimer first - I know this is NOT a massive issue and customer service did their best, but ...
I ordered a board game from Amazon UK and it arrived today, sadly all written in Italian (which I do not speak).
I got a call back from customer services, who say I mistakenly ordered the Italian version. nowhere on the listing does it say this, the full product description is in English.
Customer services say they can see in the back end of their system that it is Italian, but that it is not visible to the public. To be fair he issued me with a full refund on the spot at this point to allow me to order another one, and says he will send me a link so I know it is the right language.
Opened the link, am in the point of reordering and check the small print in his listing where he says it clearly says English - this one is in Polish! Oh, and it won’t come till the 28th!
Thankfully it is not a main pressie and DD is big enough to accept an IOU, but argh, this was one of the fun pressies and we were going to play it in Christmas Day.
Never mind, no great harm done - anyone else got festive woes?
