How did you tell your kids you and your partner were separating? There has been infidelity (not on my side) and obviously won't tell them that - I was wondering if we need to go down the people change/Mummy and Daddy aren't in love any more route. Obviously we'll stress we both love them and we're always their parents, and that it wasn't anything to do with them.
Kids are 9 and 6. I'm not sure:
- what exact words to use
- how to answer if they ask why we don't love each other/can't live together
- how long their Dad should stick around afterwards - we will put up with whatever is necessary
