How do you clean between the glass parts of your oven?

I have an oven with a double thick oven door, two panes of glass per door. It's open at the top and bottom, so stuff slides down and gets stuck in it.

If you have a similar oven, how do you clean it?

The inner glass panel slides out so you can clean it and the inside of the outer panel on our ovens.

It comes apart fairly simply. Check your user manual.

Sorry - should have read my one comes apart easily. No idea if yours does.

More often than the actual inside as it's easier and makes the oven look cleaner.
Quick wipe with a melamine spounge.

Take apart. Always put a cushion on the floor in case it slips when doing it.

Usually a couple of screws holding the inner glass in place, as previous pp said a cushion underneath incase it slips to prevent it breaking and don't over tighten when putting it back in and cracking it!

I did ours last week as we had to change the element AGAIN and they just slide out, a bit harder if theres lots of gunk.

It does say in our manual not to use harsh cleaners/ brillo pads, it took feckign ages to get thm clean

DivisionBelles · 22/12/2019 21:31

With ours, you undo the screws and the inner door slides off. You can then clean it - DH used a glass scraper to get rid of the greasy gunk - clean the inside of the outer glass then reassemble it all.

Mine comes apart

CFlemingSmith · 22/12/2019 21:37

Save up £40 and pay someone to make the whole oven look brand new

NichyNoo · 22/12/2019 21:46

DH cleaned ours today. With ours you unscrew the door so it comes completely off, lay it on a table then slide out the glass.

Figgygal · 22/12/2019 21:47

No idea I paid someone to do it yesterday it's like brand new

Never again will I clean my oven

AlexaAmbidextra · 22/12/2019 23:19

My inner panel slides out. Just done it today actually with a smushed up dishwasher tablet.
