Has anyone seen her videos on you tube? Was wondering what you thought? Just in general? Name change for this as don't want it linking with my other posts.

She is very weird.
Seems to do blanket training with her kids.
Love to know where she gets her money from- her OH's family run some online christian misnistry thing.
I find her creepy.

It's a scam. Theres been multiple threads on other forums, people who know the family and lived near them have said they're not like that at all. The father is the foster child of a doomsday cult leader in australia. In sweden they wore normal coloures clothes etc, it was only when they needed money to finance their trip that they created this image of "minimalist vegan". The kids have been raised on meat, it seems that they worked out what gets the most hits on YouTube and created content to get views. They also paid for promotion, appearing as suggested videos for anyone who watched videos to do with marie kondo/minimalism/vegan/homeschooling/christian/large families. Creating content that pulled in those audiences got them masses of views ,rapidly.

I mean, fairplay to her, she's figured out a way to work the YouTube algorithims get a fully paid 6month tour around Europe for her huge family.

I have so many questions about that family! What does her husband actually do?! And what kind of cult is his mother a leader of?

Is it really all a scam?! That's crazy.

He doesn't have a job due to being legally blind? He's much much older than Taina, she was married off to him just before she turned 20 and he was in his 40's. Maria Liccardo is a self styled doomsday Prophetess and her foster son (the dad) follows in her footsteps. The mansion in Finland is owned by one of their devout followers, Marie travels around Finland and Australia holding ministries about the world ending. If you watch the videos closely you'll hear Shakespeare mentioning that they have been "hiding for a long time" in Finland. Also, a lot of the videos were filmed last year, often the videos posted showing them skiing are posted in the summer months when there's no snow!

The plan I think is to move back to Australia and set up a community of theit followers. The videos are being used to fund this, and recruit new followers.

I love watching these videos, utterly bonkers!

strangeones · 22/12/2019 21:24

Thank you for that @PurpleEllie never knew any of that.

Why has she turned comments off for the YouTube videos? I thought that was odd

Why has she turned comments off for the YouTube videos? I thought that was odd that was youtube, not her.

You tube has been "cleaning" itself up in the past year, removing the ability to comment on videos featuring minors- safeguarding issues apparenty.

strangeones · 22/12/2019 21:39

@speakout oh I see!! I assumed she had turned them off! Ok that makes sense I suppose!
