Pub recommendations for Banbury,Stratford upon Avon or Warwick

I'm looking for a dog friendly pub for a meal on the 28th.

We are meeting family roughly half way and will have at least 9 people and 2 dogs with us. Ideally the pub will be near a park so we can run the dogs round a bit before we sit down to eat. No food issues just dog friendly and a nice menu.

Suggestions gratefully received.

Saxon Mill in Warwick off A46 is a lovely dog friendly pub.

There's a park in Warwick called St Nicholas Park which they can have a big run around in.

St Nicholas would mean driving from the Saxon Mill, though, but the Saxon Mill is indeed very nice.

The Falcon is just the other side of Warwick but dog friendly and also very good. No park as it’s in the sticks but public footpaths running off / near it. On the other side of Warwick there’s the Stag at Offchurch, which would be a similar set up and quality (check re the dogs bit but recommending it because I’d be surprised if not given where it is).

There’s also the Newbold Comyn Arms in Leamington, now I think of it - very dog friendly, park/fields right outside where they can run - haven’t eaten there but heard positive things.

The Rose and Crown in Warwick would be more walkable from St Nick’s and is dog friendly and nice. On the other side of the park and quite close is the Moorings and that’s very good and dog friendly (so actually I expect the Stag must be as they’re sister pubs).

Thanks. These are great suggestions and I'll have a look at them and book at table

You're right! I read the message in 2 halves, pub and park not pub near park.

Abbey Fields in Kenilworth and the Queen and Castle would be a good pair, again just off A46.

Priory Park in Warwick is even closer to the Rose and Crown. Also The Globe is dog friendly as it has free dog treats and a very short walk to Priory Park. If you're going on 28th then weekends there's free parking in Cape Road car park, just round the corner from Priory Park and the Globe/Rose and Crown.

Stratford Recreation Ground is a great space but not sure of dog friendly pubs nearby.

The Globe is an excellent shout! I always forget about Priory Park. That would be a good match.

The Encore is just over from Stratford Rec and is dog friendly - it’s lovely.
