Disclaimer:I am in Scotland so Sunday trading times do not apply!

Up at 6 and away to supermarket and it was already heaving by 6.30 (24 hour Asda), M&S opened at 7 and there were only 5 packs of pre-prepped roasting veg left...but it’s five and I’m home for a nap then a bacon roll when I get back up. Merry Christmas all of you!

Hark at you all done. You’ll definitely have forgotten something though 😈

I have to do my food shopping today. I have a list and will follow the list and get home as fast as possible.

My bigger problem is that I can't stop buying presents even though I've already bought too much.

@BoyfriendCoatBigScarf only one item on my list I couldn’t get butI’ve just ne tally walked through it all and have what we need. DH complained about the early start but agreed it was better. B&m had only two other folk in...,that was good!

I intended to do the last of my shopping on Friday but dd was ill. Postponed it till today but she's still sick and we are on our way to OOH 😩
We may not be having dessert on Christmas Day and BIL may not be getting a gift 🙈

Likethebattle · 22/12/2019 11:26

@dancemom she has festive lurgy. Welcome to my mums world. Every holiday or event o got lurgy and have it again now. Hope she’s ok. Bing some money in a card for bil and no one really needs dessert after a massive dinner. Just grab a vienetta from the supermarket.

I know people look down on it on here but I went to farm foods yest at about 4.3opm in my town centre. it was bliss. and quiet. Got a Bernard matthews turkey too for cold meat for boxing day as out at family xmas day. Some nice bitty party food and desserts. There is a fresh veg shop and bakery opp. Also small coop that got a few other bits. Saved me getting stressed in mad morrisons.
