Is anybody else (im)patiently waiting for a delivery?

Hi all,
I sent away for a jumper to wear on Christmas Day, that was yesterday, and I paid £6.99 for next day delivery, and I’m (im) patiently waiting for it, constantly checking my emails, looking out of the window constantly, and slowly driving myself batty! Is anybody else the same?

Yes, I did an insurance claim on my dh phone (his contract is piggybacked to mine) on Wednesday, he managed to shatter the LED screen under the glass without breaking that (go figure) and his replacement is coming today, because we're that close to Christmas they couldn't give us a timed slot 9am - 4pm. We're supposed to go see his parents this afternoon.

I hope your jumper arrives soon.

@whatthefunk what an absolute nightmare! Have you tried tweeting and tagging the company in it? That usually works.

I'm going to have a delivery on Monday. I can't wait to find out what it is.

Back story I ordered 2 identical items from a company, they sent me one incorrect item. I emailed them but the acknowledgement said it could take 4 days to reply and to ring instead which I did. They were apologetic and arranged for the incorrect item to be collected, this was 12 days ago and it's still there and for the correct order to be delivered to my work a few days later. Two days after the phone call I received the correct items at my home address. All fine.

However yesterday I received a text that my order will be delivered to my work on 23 December.

Does this mean I will not only have an item I don't want, which was double the cost of my original order and will I be having another 2 of my original order?

If this is the case do I contact the company about their cock up or hope they haven't got a clue what they've done and next year's Christmas presents are sorted?

It didn’t come… I phone customer services and went mad, and it will come tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday. Very upsetSad

Yes. I placed an order on Tuesday for guaranteed delivery for Christmas.

It's not arrived yet, so will be here Monday at the earliest and I won't be home to take it in so I will have to pick it up from the sorting office on Christmas eve. Stressed!

I ordered some things from the White Stuff sale for next day delivery, expected Thursday. It arrived Friday! Customer services immediately refunded my delivery charge.

Foolishly, I opted for delivery to my local post office which isn’t open till Tuesday. At least I’ve got a text to say it’s there.

I have been waiting for a delivery since the 25th of November
I've been told it would be here on the 16th it was a no show then i was told yesterday and then today by 10 pm but its not even showing as dispatched on the website.
It's for my son for Christmas i don't think its going to come before Christmas Sad

Our new sofa is meant to be being delivered on Monday..... Or old also meant to be being picked up on Monday by recyclers. Could all go fine, could be a disaster...

I order my new phone yesterday.. got an email to say it was be delivered between 2&3pm.. so sat in the window for 45 minutes before he turned up... then opened the door before he had chance to knock which was followed by him laughing and asking me if I had been waiting for it 😂

I ordered three things today on amazin prime. 2 have sent delivery notices for tomorrow....... Also, I'm not in tomorrow. Grrr.

Yes, was apparently out for delivery yesterday, still not here! Shouldn't be surprised as the last parcel arrived 10 days late, and what should have been a rectangular shaped box was damaged so much it was a triangle shape and held together by the courier companies tape! Was not impressed!

I've just started a 'fred about mine as I'm still bloody waiting for a parcel that was due a month ago.

They didn't put the entire address on the parcel.
It was returned to the sender and then lost.
They told me they were still waiting for it despite Royal mail telling me otherwise.
They then offered a replacement and asked where to send it.
I asked for it to come to my house not my work (a school and now shut for 2 weeks) .
Today I've had an email telling me they have sent it again to work, AGAIN with the incomplete address if the email is anything to go by that I've had confirming details. There's a hold on the address so if it will go through it won't be delivered til Jan 6th. And if the address is still incomplete I've got to wait for the faff of them having it returned to them again before I can get anywhere with it.

Not ordering from them again at this rate!

Yeah, "going mad" at customer service people makes you an arse though by the way. Don't abuse people at work - it's not their fault!
