Work haven't paid me for Christmas!

They said it would be the 23rd. A colleague must text to say her salary came through this morning and to check my account - I did and nothing there Sad

I'm Bank staff so incredibly worried for whatever reason that they'll keep my original pay day - the 28th, whilst everyone contracted etc will be paid on the 23rd? Is that a thing?

My colleague said she is with Barclays though and apparently they pay in payments earlier

I wouldn't worry until the 23rd personally

Some banks will credit the account earlier , I run payroll . If they said the 23rd it should be there Monday morning . They will have sent it to the bank on Thursday at the latest .Tnry are highly unlikely to have two pay dates if they don’t normally as that would be more work

But today is only 21st? So 23rd is the next working day.

Some banks process payments on Saturdays and some don’t. Plus your colleague could be the same bank or financial institution as your work- if so the payment will go through faster.

I get paid at the last day of every month but if my pay day falls on a Monday my money comes through on a Saturday.

But you mention you are scheduled for the 28th so why did you think the 23rd? Is this separate contracts I presume ?

You're supposed to get paid on 23rd. It's only 21st, so what's the problem?

Pay day for me this month is Monday. Was surprised to see it in today. Must remind myself not to touch it, it has to last until end of January!

Barclays always shows up early at weekends.

Barclays do sometimes make Monday payments available at the weekend. It's happened to me a few times.

Some bank accounts will show payments due to go in on a Monday on a Saturday. I wouldn't worry, you'll just have the type of account that the payments don't show until the actual day

Barclays is a bank that can see that she is getting a payment sent and have made those funds available to her early.

Very few banks do this.

I'm getting paid on Monday and can see on my banking app its pending.
I think you are too early to be worried, it's only the 21st!

But it's only the 21st and it's a Saturday? If they said you'll be kid on the 23rd that's Monday and that's when you'll get it. Most banks don't release payments on Saturdays

If payday is in a Monday and you bank with barcalys, you tend to get your payments on the Saturday. What bank are you with? If not Barclays then you’ll get it on Monday. Stop panicking!

I used to bank with NatWest and payments for Monday would show on Saturday. I now bank with Santander and payments don't show early.

I remember when I worked for Homebase and certain banks could see and access wages before others. I wouldn’t worry if you have been told the 23rd until the 23rd.

I'm with Barclays and my child benefit payments which are Mondays, always show up on Saturday.

Don't worry until the 23rd.

Do you need the money on the 23rd though? I don't get paid until the 27th, I would hate to get paid early as it has to last longer.

Thanks all, I Bank with Halifax (who I'm assuming don't profess things early, given their really inflexible opening hours).

I will start to worry though if it isn't showing on Monday!

Payroll told us 23rd

My OH banks with Halifax. Payments for Monday don't show on a Saturday.

Halifax never show on the Saturday. I used to bank with them after being with Bank Of Ireland and it really annoyed me that Halifax didn't pay early so I went back to BOI as it's always handier having money for the weekend.

I'm with Halifax and they dont ever seem to do anything early. Their payments normally show at 4am on the day.

This happens regularly at my work as we get paid on a set date of the month. If that date is a Monday it always is in my bank on the Saturday (Barclays) but my colleague never gets hers until the Monday. I think she is with Santander.

It’s just different banks.

Well if payroll told you the 23rd, It will be the 23rd
