Has anyone ever come across the real play scheme? I've just been told that my DS4 will be starting in January, half hour sessions every Thursday for 5 weeks and I must also attend.
Reading the literature, it seems like a veiled attempt to correct disruptive or problem children. Although I asked about this the school denied it, and no concerns were raised at parents evening. In fact DS reading is fantastic, and he comes home with certificates for good listening.
Am I just looking into it too much, is it just a bit of fun or is it a developmental thing I should be concerned about.
I'm planning to ask the teacher when school starts again, but just wondered if anyone else had taken part in the meantime
