What I really meant to say was, 'Time to finish my unicorn' or 'Time to slay this project'.
Somehow I mixed the two, and got , 'Time to slay this unicorn'

Not what I meant at all!
Why do our brains do this to us?!

In what context? As I can’t imagine saying either in any!

But I was instantly reminded of the MNer who, in a busy GP surgery waiting room, meant to call her grizzling toddler a whiney tinker and called him a tiny wanker instead 😄
