What is this pain?! What new torment is this?!??!???! I've used it (bucks first fence spray) before but oh my fucking Christmas tinselled god this is AGONY.

Send help. I need some kind of rhinoplasty ASAP.

I used to love him, but he's hurt me so badly, I'm hoping he will change and not hurt me in the future. Will he? His label says he will help me feel better. I did everything he said. Maybe it's my fault. Right now I want to LTB.

Also- it seems like everyone else likes Vick. How can I ever trust it again after this? I've got kids-he's great with them (vaporub)- how can he do this to me out of the blue?????

No. I love First Defense. DH has had a really bad fluey cold all week and everytime it tried to get me, I zapped it and felt it die. Sorry you are in agony OP but it sounds like sinusitis, which is agony.

Have you tried inhaling steam? Might at least dilute it.

I think the paracetamol has kicked in! Thanks for the handhold @AlaskaElfForGin I don't think Vick will do it again. I've checked the label over and over and I did everything right. The kids love Vick. I'm sure it was just a mistake. Probably entirely my fault. Please don't judge but next time I'm feeling ill I may check out Boots own brand. Are they any good looking after kids? If I can depend on them and they won't hurt me or the kids then... I am tempted.
The agony has subsided to a relentless throbbing now. Just want to apologise if I've offended with my extended metaphor. I can only claim delirium. Soz.

Also Vick is a cockwomble and should keep checking over his shoulder this flu season. Dick.

And there is no way anything aside for air is going up my nose until I've healed from this trauma. My nose is OFF limits to all. I don't care if I never have another steam treatment again. I can blow my own nose. I did it before Vick. I can do it again. I can just up my vitamin C and fluids. That's how women in days gone by got by. They didn't need no Vick.

(I really hate him btw).

Right well that's it then. I'm leaving Vick for Boots. The kids can still have vaporub EOW (if they're comfy) but he's never coming anywhere me and my sinuses again!
Luckily I own the house, and rubbish collections are weekly. Will bide my time and then throw him out in general waste.

Do you have a cold @pemberlyshades ? I thought it was to prevent one? If you do have a cold I would advise against it now, as your nasal lining (delicate) is already inflamed from the cold.

I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to use it with a cold.

At least you didn't put tea tree in the bath, and stagger bright red onto the landing holding your bits and dripping mucus out of your entire head.

The boots one doesn't sting at all. Never tried the first defence one as they're the same active ingredient. It's for before you get a cold. Afterwards your nasal passages might be inflamed so that'll sting!

I thought it was just me! I hate the stuff (DH swears by it tho) as I'm convinced it's doing more harm than good
