I'm in charge of Christmas music in the office. So far we've had...

Christmas pop
Carols
Bublé Christmas (the ears nearly went then...!)
Rod Stewart's Christmas
Robbie Williams Christmas
Dolly Parton sings Christmas
A country Christmas
Celtic Christmas
Instrumental Christmas
Home alone soundtrack
Harry Potter soundtrack (not Christmas but nice)
Frozen 2 soundtrack (see above)
Glee sings Christmas

I have three more days to kill. Please help me to not go insane!

God that list would drive me demented too.
I like the vintage ones. Jazzy and rock n roll style. Ella and Louis (they did a Christmas album I think). Santa Baby. Jingle Bell Rock. None of the newer covers!

Rockbird · 17/12/2019 22:30

Like the sound of Ella and Louis.

Oh I forgot Elvis Christmas. Yes I have been driven demented!

A Legendary Christmas - John Legend

Or just put a radio station on eg Magic

Lololololola · 17/12/2019 22:52

Freiheit - keeping the dream alive. Not technically a Christmas song, but it is ace always makes me feel christmassy.

Rockbird · 18/12/2019 06:42

Oh I love that one. I'd forgotten about it.

Yes we had a radio station as well. You'd be surprised at how much music you can get through in your average working day Xmas Grin.

I also flirted with punk Christmas but I only got we far as the Ramones before I decided it wasn't a great idea for a school office...Xmas Grin

Ingrid michaelson has a lovely Christmas album

northender · 18/12/2019 06:50

Kate Rusby has a couple of Christmas albums which are old folky versions of carols which were traditionally sung in Yorkshire pubs with a brass band. We love them, but might be a bit niche!

Perry Como. Johnny Mathis. A Welsh Male voice choir. Brass band.
Bob Dylan's Must be Santa 😉

paw1977 · 18/12/2019 07:59

Bob Dylan - Must be santa ...is my favourite

Rockbird · 18/12/2019 08:03

I think we came across Bob Dylan. My dad is a huge fan but I'd never heard that one. Totally bizarre! Xmas Grin

What about some classical music - if you are using Spotify try an album called A Venetian Christmas by the Gabrieli Consort.

PineappleDanish · 18/12/2019 08:05

Do you have to have 8 hours a day of Christmas music? That would drive me absolutely nuts, I would HATE it.

Every fourth or fifth song would be bad enough. Mix it up a bit.

Rockbird · 18/12/2019 09:30

Alas it's been requested by On High. We don't mind as long as it isn't Slade/Band Aid/Wham/Elton.

Wot? No King's College choir?

TheLongRider · 18/12/2019 15:51

Over here we have Christmas FM. It's available online too

Disfordarkchocolate · 18/12/2019 15:57

I love the more classic Christmas song, I have a Christmas with the Crooners CD full of lovely relaxing Christmas songs. Tom Chaplin as a great Christmas CD too.

I'd be going insane at forced Christmas music though, surely an hour or two a day is enough?
