Anyone have a HSBC visa credit card? How do I pay it?!

I haven't had a first statement yet but I need to pay some money off. I can't find any bank details to pay online banking. Tried ringing them but get stuck in a queue and can't get through.

Do you have the letter the card came with? That should have all the details you need? I pay mine as part of 'my payees' online, rather than moving money between accounts, but I have had it for absolutely years so I can't remember how I set it up.

But if you have all the details then you can set it up to pay. You only need the card number anyway don't you?

If you phone your current account provider they’ll be able to do the payment for you, or go online to your current account and click ‘move money’ or ‘make payment’ then look at the list of companies and HSBC and your type of credit card should be there as one of the preset payees

I don't bank with HSBC so when I went to set it up online it gave loads of different account numbers for different types of cards. I couldn't see mine listed. It's a silver card?! It doesn't say anything other than visa on it so no idea what type it is!

Start typing in the card number and it’ll pre-pop the details and card type.

Or, sign up for the hsbc credit card app and pay direct to them.

Lots of info if you google paying an online HSBC credit card.

via their phone number, with your debit details

via your current online account

or via their online info

Sympathies OP. I had the same problem. Their system is not intuitive at all. The problem is the numbers don't always match the credit cards that pop up and I couldn't find mine either. It just wasn't a preset. I ended up ringing and did get through and they set up a payment for me so now I can just go to my payees list but it was really irritating and not like any other card I pay off.
